Revisão do Teclado Ducky One X

Gaming keyboards have undergone a significant transformation in recent years. From being just a sleek slab of keys and LEDs, they now offer a plethora of features tailored to the modern gamer, such as rapid trigger and adjustable actuation points. Most keyboard manufacturers have embraced this evolution, providing a wide range of options for gamers. Now, Ducky has entered the scene with the Ducky One X.

Before you assume it uses the Hall effect, it’s important to note that the Ducky One X does not. Unlike many top competitive gaming keyboards from brands like SteelSeries, Wooting, Corsair, and Logitech, which rely on the Hall effect for their magnetic switches, the Ducky One X features a ‘world’s first’ inductive switch.

I first encountered the Ducky One X at Computex 2024, where it was displayed at Ducky’s booth, but it was also slated to be shown at Cherry’s booth with their new Multipoint switch. However, between then and now, Ducky decided to use their own inductive switch instead. This switch is distinct from Cherry’s Multipoint induction switch and even comes in a yellow colorway with Ducky’s branding.

As an avid keyboard enthusiast, the first thing I did when unboxing the Ducky One X was to remove one of the white PBT keycaps. I was in for a couple of surprises: 1) the keycap pulled the entire switch out, which isn’t uncommon for this keyboard; 2) the switch has a metal prong protruding from the bottom. When the switch is actuated, this tapered prong extends further. It appears that this prong is how Ducky measures actuation throughout the switch’s range, using sensors mounted on the PCB.

This technology, though it may seem like a blast from the past, is actually brand new and innovative. The Ducky One X offers a unique typing experience with its inductive switches, which are smoother and more reliable than traditional Hall effect switches. These switches allow for customizable actuation points, multiple actuation inputs, and rapid trigger functionality, making the Ducky One X a compelling option for gamers.

The Ducky One X also features a full-sized form factor, wireless connectivity via 2.4GHz and Bluetooth, and a seven-layer sound-dampening system that ensures a quiet and controlled typing sound. However, it does have some drawbacks, such as low battery life and limited onboard controls. Despite these, the Ducky One X is a significant step in the evolution of gaming keyboards, offering a unique and satisfying typing experience that sets it apart from its competitors.
