Adjectives are words that describe qualities or states of being of nouns. They make our language colorful and precise. Instead of just saying “a car”, we can say “a fast red car”. Learning adjectives allows us to express opinions, describe people, places, and things in detail. In English, adjectives usually come before the noun they describe.
We can describe size with words like BIG (large) or SMALL (tiny). Feelings are described with adjectives like HAPPY or SAD. Temperature can be HOT or COLD. Something can be NEW or OLD.
When something is good looking, we say it is BEAUTIFUL or UGLY if it is not. A person can be TALL or SHORT. Colors like RED and BLUE are also adjectives. Something fast is FAST, and something not fast is SLOW. A difficult test is HARD, while an easy one is EASY. Using ADJECTIVES improves your VOCABULARY immensely.
